“And this our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tonguels in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.”
(William Shakespeare)
A magical and welcoming place. That is Il Daino Bianco in a nutshell.
A beautiful, leafy road that winds between the gently rolling hills of the Maremma, between Saturnia’s Thermal Baths and the medieval town of Manciano, you will arrive in an unspoiled corner of the world where time stood still. Take in the ancient oak woods, the crystal clear pond frequented by wild deer, the fruit orchard, the idyllic view of the countryside and the medieval village of Montemerano. All this is the enchanting backdrop to Il Daino Bianco’s stone houses dating back to 1500, and two treehouses in the middle of the great oak forest
In the main farmhouse you will find the reception, a spacious but cozy living room, and a sun-filled breakfast room with a large fireplace, always lit in the winter months. The guest rooms are all in stone bungalows spread out across the property, each with their own terrace or garden, and offer the utmost privacy. Then there are two special rooms for those who enjoy the adventure of sleeping in a treehouse….
A swimming pool is immersed in the romantic setting of an orchard with myriad fruit trees including pear, apple, plum or cherry. In the summer you can pick your favorite fruit and eat to your heart’s content while lounging around the pool! For animal lovers, a fenced area of four hectares surrounding the pond, you can observe and feed the deer and donkeys that are part of our family, and watch the numerous herons and ducks as they wade in and out.
